Cambridge, along with Oxford, is one of the most historical cities in the UK and has a great tradition that encourages tourists to visit in their millions, but it isn’t a great place for first dates. Well, at least it isn’t if you don’t have an imagination. If you think about it, there is no better place to cultivate great first date ideas. With plenty to see, do, hear and experience, you couldn’t pick a better place for a first date. All it takes is a little creativity and it’ll be the most memorable first date of your life!
The three ideas below are good to get you started. All of them are fantastic first date ideas and should give you a few more:
- Visit Rosie – Rosie is a narrow boat that offers river trips on the Cam. The scenery is fantastic and it can be a wonderfully romantic journey at any time of year. It’s not actually too expensive either, but it is definitely different.
- Visit Ghouls – There are plenty of ghost tours around Cambridge so it is fantastic if you are trying to come up with different first date ideas. You can choose one that would appeal to both you and your date. It’ll definitely make it memorable if nothing else.
- Visit The Pictures – This might sound like an old generic first date idea but the Arts Picture House & Café Bar is different. It screens more artsy stuff that might be of interest to you. It’ll be more memorable and the atmosphere is fantastic. Much better than visiting the local Cineworld!
